JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Team Managers are key to our operation. They’re responsible for driving results through their teams. It’s up to them to ensure their people are engaged, supported and listened to, which will result in the right products being picked quickly and accurately so they can be sent to the right stores, on time! It’s fast and ever-changing – are you up for the challenge?
Reporting into the Shift Manager, the role involves:
Monitoring and driving KPIs and taking action to ensure they are all met on a daily and weekly basis
Setting performance targets and reviewing progress and creating action plans to improve performance
Being responsible for a specific area and owning processes within that operation
Looking for solutions to operational problems
Spotting and developing talent in your team through coaching and guidance
Looking after colleague welfare and improving attendance standards
Motivating colleagues to complete tasks efficiently and to unblock barriers, enabling them to work with purpose
Shifts:
Variety of shifts and working patterns available with sites typically operating days, late’s and nights

At 78 acres spread along a mile long site, Willow Green is one of our newest and busiest fresh, ambient and freezer product sites. Home to 1,100 colleagues, it delivers around 2.1m cases a week to nearly 80 stores, and is developing an exciting culture and a big ambition that more than matches those numbers.

About You
56035As well as being a true people person, that can operate at pace and think outside the box, you should also meet the below:
A good understanding of the retail / logistics distribution environment
Proven experience in a people management role with the ability to deliver strong results through a team
The ability to problem solve, report information/findings, develop recommendations, and implement process changes in order to improve operational performance
Proactively helps and supports team of colleagues in terms of performance, productivity, welfare and conduct in line with the company policies and procedures
The ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation
Ability to use a variety of technology tools which provide data to inform real time decisions on performance and productivity
